Another idea was that BAAL, as a planeswalker.. used some steampunk-like diving suite.. similar to BIOSHOCK Big Daddies.. to travel across reality. So she compute the best route and goes to a matrix-like voyage.

BAAL - LAYOUT 009

BAAL knows that she must find the remains of her memory. And with a steampunk motorcycle, she begins her journey. She's still at this aircraft with Metalhead and Gato. As you can see.. I was more lost than BAAL.. I continued and eventually found some interesting concepts.

BAAL - SKETCH 005

BAAL needed as a heroine.. a guy that stands the "antagonist" place.. but without being a handsome guy.. XD That bothered me, because I didn't wanted a couple.. or a romantic comic book. So.... I sketched some ugly guys and... well the results were.. yes; pretty bad. All the time I saw this drawings, I want to toss them to the garbage can. But, as ugly as they are, are part of the process, so they stay. This guy will later be named "Marutuk." Aaaaaand... before I realized what I wanted, more bad drawings to come.. XD Stay tuned..!!!

The drawing I made before.. was not so emotive.. didn't have the right feel. So I draw it again.. and it was better from the very beginning. The girl DOES really looks upset and afraid.. and the monster is terrifying..!!! The strange metallic head just lies there.. and I added a "laser" from the center of the head.. as the danger is nearer; it glows with more intensity.

So.. this strange head has some information.. about BAAL being a planeswalker.. in order to be free, she has to go through the different worlds of this universe.. collecting vital parts of her own memory. As it sounds exciting, I began to feel very lost on the story.. so I had some doubts.. but I manage to make some new layout pages..

BAAL - LAYOUT 007

BAAL ask to the shadows.. "Who are you?" And Gatozo reveals itself. Gato is a mind projection of BAAL, so.. as he explains to her; He will help her in the long journey ahead. The steampunk-like room is an airship, so BAAL and Gatozo reach the skies to the horizon.. Sailing the airship, is this METAL HEAD.. somehow attached to the wheel.

Some years later.. mmm, 2011 maybe.. I sketched this encounter of BAAL and a "fake" BAAL. This was the time when I wonder; "What if BAAL is a universal entity with echoes everywhere in space and time..?" So, it's an internal battle.. with BAAL as a canon heroine, and the other "shadow" BAAL. I didn't finish the drawing because I didn't like the expression of the girl.. but, more about that in the next sketch.. XD stay tuned.
